RUSSIAN CAVALRY ADVANCE.
London, July 27. On Friday last heavy fighting took place to the north of Fakumen (to the north-west of Kaiyuen, on the railway), owing to General Mistchenko's cavalry division having menaced the Japanese left. A BATTLE IMMINENT. (Received July 28, 10.37 p.m.) • London, July 28. Advices from Manchuria indicate that a battle in Manchuria is about to take place. TO MEN RIVER OPERATIONS. \ THE JAPANESE ATTACKING. London, July 27. The Daily Telegraph's correspondent at Osaka says that a large Japanese force is making vigorous attacks on the Russian positions on the Tumen River.
