ENTERTAINMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.

Few plays have lived so long in the a?« Sections of the public as the popular dramatisation of Mrs. Henry Wood's novel "East Lynue." This drama has never failed wherever produced to find a responsive audience, and. as produced by Miss Fitzmaurico Gill and Messrs. MaeMahoti's 'company last; evening, the piece lost Done of its attractiveness, and the pathetic story of the mistaken woman, the wronged husband, and the dying child went, home to the hearts of all who witnessed the performance. As Lady Isabel and .afterwards Madame Vine, Miss Fitzmauriee Gill played convincingly and well. The part suited her admirably, and in the scenes with her deceiver (Sir Francis Levison), and afterwards with her dying child, Miss Gill played with power, and pathos. As Archibald Cariyio Mr. Charles Blake played carefully and well. The part is one which is specially suited to him, and his work was greatly appreciated.
