THE MEETING.
A LONG CONVERSATION.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.— (Received July 25, 0,40 p.m.) St. Petersburg, July 25. The Kaiser's yacht Hohenzollern and the Tsar's yacht Pole Star met in Bjoerkoe Sound on Sunday evening and anchored. The Kaiser visited the Tsar, who then proceeded to the Hohenzollern and supped there. The monarchs remained together in conversation for two hours and a-half,, and ( then the Tsar returned to the Pole Star. . They had breakfast and lunch together on the Monday on the Pole Star, and the Tsar then set sail for St. Petersburg. Nothing has been disclosed regarding the topics discussed. EXCITEMENT IN EUROPE. In European capitals the most divergent and the wildest views prevail'.. regarding the meaning of the meeting of the Emperors.', ,' : Some of" the German newspapers say the interview was designed. to prepare the way for France and Germany uniting to finance the Russian war indemnity and for .the forming of a triple alliance, consisting of Russia, France, and Germany. The objects, of this alliance, they say, would be the influencing of Far Eastern affairs and the isolating of Great Britain. UNEASINESS IN PARIS. Paris,. July 24. There is a very uneasy feeling in France in regard to the meeting between the Tsar and the Kaiser.
