London, May 8. The Governor of the Persian province of Astrabad lias been recalled to Teheran, owing to his having endeavoured to move certain of his military posts over the frontier into Russian territory.

Owing to his action the Russians attacked one of his posts, and 100 Persians were killed and wounded.
