HEBBURN COLLIERY IDLE.

Stdnbt, May 8. The miners at Hebburn pit have refused to accept the company's amended proposals, which involved a reduction in wages. In consequence more than 400 men have been thrown idle. The district lodges decided against a strike, but the men ignored the decision.
