ST. SEPULCHRE'S MAY FAIR.
The May fair held in St. Sepulchre's parish hull, ami which extended over four days, was concluded on Saturday night with a promenade conceit. Mr. Calder created great amusement with his comicalities, including the after-dinner speeches. Madame Wigmore played a piano solo, and Mr. Kissling sang Several selections were given on tin; gramaphoue. The Maypole dance was repeated. The hat-trimming competition for men was won by Mr. Ch-1-dor. The Rev. G. Carver, proposing a vote of thanks to those who had worked to make the fete a success, expressed gratitude to those who had rallied round the old church and by their efforts made the financial position better than it had been for years. Three cheers were given for Mr. Carver. Financially the fete has been a decided success, for on the first day £67 15s was taken, on the second £43 12s 7d, on the third £36 5s Id, and on the fourth £21 12s 9d, making a total of £169 5s ,sd.
