The second animal meeting of lie Auckland Hockey Association was held at the rooms of the Sports Club Mr. William Coleman occupied the (hair. There were present: Messrs. W. A. Brown, R. Harry (United), Hill, Lepiue (Auckland), H. W'hytc. IT. Steele (College Rifles), Dineen and Moody ("Vanity), and several members. Various matters concerning the s;iort were discussed. The report and balance-sheet were read am!' adopted, the financial position of the association being very satisfactory. 'J lie following officers were elected for the. ensuing season:—President, Mr. W. Coleman: vicepresidents, Professor Talbot-Tubbs, Messrs. Roes Goorgo and 1-.'. Davis; lion, secretary and treasurer. Mr. W. A. Brown. It was decided that the Auckland Association approach the New Zealand Association, with a view to ensuring ihe North v. South Island match being played in Auckland. It was decided that cy,p matches commence on May 20, an early start, being desirable, it) view of the utimbci of representative matches to bo played this season.
