A wedding was celebrated at Waimaniaku on Wednesday, April 26, between Miss Hook (daughter of Mr. J. R. Hook) and Mr. Win. Field (son of Mr. Toledo Field). The ceremony was conducted at the residence of the bride's parents by theKev. Mr Pearson, of Rawene. The bride was becomingly dressed, and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms. A considerable number of friends and relatives were present. In the evening a successful social was given in the school in celebration or the event. There was a large gathering, and, with the music of Ml. King, of Omapere, the dancing was very enjoyable. White; costumes.
