NEW AGREEMENT WITH JALUIT COMPANY.

Berlin, May 4. The Lokal Anziegei says it learns that, owing to the Marshall Islands dispute with Australia, the German Government has cancelled its agreement with' the Jaluit Trading Company and entered into a fresh agreement, which comes into force op April 1, 1906.

Under this new agreement the Government withdraws from the company its subsidy for administration services.

The Customs duties in the Marshall Islands are to be reduced from October next.

The German Colonial Office, when inquiries were made* op the subject, was reticent. The officials asserted that negotiations with Britain on the subject had no* - been concluded, though they said there was no doubt, a satisfactory agreement would be reached.
