ALLEGED POCKET PICKING.

EXCITING INCIDENT AT A RAILWAY STATIC .V. [BT TELEGRAPH.— rtIESS ASSOCIATION'.] Blenheim, Friday. An exciting incident occurred last evening on the Blenheim railway station, where a large crowd had assembled to farewell Mr. Walte. L. Clifford, of Flaxborune, who with Mrs. and the Misses Clifford will take theit departure for a trip to England shortly. Mr. Mcintosh, hank manager, was making some valedictory remarks on behalf of the assemblage, when he felt , a hand in his pocket, and he smartly grabbed at. a young man near him. Bystanders assisted to hold the man, who was handed to the police. In the Police Court to-day Arthur Hinge (with several aliases) Mas brought up on a charge of pocket-picking and remanded.
