ENTERTAINMENTS.
HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. " The Skirt Dancer" will be played for the eighth and last time this evening. Last night this popular play drew another large audieice. To-morrow (Wednesday) evening a musical farce is promised for the first production in Auckland in Edward Morris' remarkably successful musical play, "The Dandy Doctor." In Australia this play has gained much popularity by reason of its charming music and ludicrous dialogue and situations. The dressing and mounting of the piece is said to be superb. Miss i'eatty will appear as Jane, the lady help, a character study in which she is said to fairly revel; whilst Messrs. Lauri, MeNaughion, and the Boris .Bros, are said to have parts admirably suited to them. The plans for the remainder of the season are now open at Wildman and Arey's. Mr. George Barnes, of the Stephenson Opera Company, leaves by the Mali in. to day for Gisborne to arrange for an overland tour of the company. OLYMPIA RINK. The rink was again last night taxed to its utmost capacity, both with proficient, skaters and beginners. The rink lias come to stay, and tho management have every reason to feel satisfied with the success" of their venture.
