The State costume worn by the Queen on all public occasions, of receptions, and the like, was alec i mini led. The robe is of a rich magenta velvet, and the borders are embroidered with double-headed eagles and arabesque orn'aments .da v gold and silver threads. There is a train of similar velvet, with a long stole of white satin, and a tre!. lis design of embroidery.
