The .annual meeting .of. .members, of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron was held lix the squadron.rooms, Queen-street, last evening, .the commodore, Mr. C, P. Murdoch, in the chair. There were about 40 .members present. , .»« m ... .-•• The thirty-third annual report, together with the statement of accounts—.revealing.a very .satisfactory .financial .atfahs-— details of,winch have already been published, were submitted. ~ ~. . ... ~ ~ , ... .- In moving- the -adoption,of the.jepnrt and balance-sheet, the Chairman informed, the members that Hia.Exeelleney The governor (Lord. plunket). had willingly, acceded to the request to become the olub's, patron,' and he believed that His Excellency wai3 himself, a" yachtsman. ; The, billiard-tables, were now the .■property, .of the club,.the whole of the debentures having been extinguished. .The yacht register wits, slowly increasing,, there being- now. 46. yachts .on the .register,., #3 against-42-last year, thoitgh; tbgre were, many boats, .that, might still be .added.to. the hs.t.
