IST view of the representative match -with the Thames team, on Saturday week, the following players are requested to attoad at Eemuera at three o'clock to-morrow afternoon, for practice:— H. FOOTBALL. The football match played between a team selected by Mr. Pat. Quinlan and the members of ths Permanent Force, on the Pevonport ground, resulted In a drawn fame, both sides registering three points. Benwick scored for Mr. Quinlan's team, and McClusky for the Permanent Force. A return match is to be played oa Wednesday week. NORTH OTAGO V. SOOTH CANTERBURY. [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Oamakc, Thursday. The football match, North Otago v. South Canterbury, was played to-day, in fine weather. The •game was rather a slow one, and was won by South Canterbury by eight to sis. The score stood in the first spell: North Otago, G; South Canterbury, 0. In the second spoil South Canterbury sisored a try, and also a goal from a, try awarded to them through an infringement of the rales by a North Otago player. AUSTRALIAN GAME. e A football match is to be played Under the Australian rules, at Alexandra Park, to-morrow, between teams representing Waihi and Auckland. The game will start at three p.m. sharp,
