WHAT IS PELOROUS JACK ?
CAPTAIN BUTTON'S OPINION. [BY TELEGRAPH. KRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHBissrcHCHCHj Thursday. Captais Hvtton has recently made a discovery regarding the famous Pelorous Jack, the white fish so long known in the French Pass. Finding that Pelorous Jack has been wrongly classified as a white whale, he has now classified him as a goose-beak whale. He founds this opinion largely on a letter from a gentleman who has seen Pelorous Jack eight times, and states that he has a dorsal fin. This fin excludes him from the family of white whales.
