At the Education Board's meeting correspondence was received from the AuditorGeneral demanding a copy of the Board's balance-sheet on the form provided by tho Audit Department, said practically threatening the Board to stop theii supplies unless the demand was acceded -to. The Board was of opinion that the Auditor-General was mistaken in his facts, and until he withdrew the charge of misfeasance or misap- ; propriation of funds, which he had made ! against the Board, further information would be refused, except a copy of the balancesheet as already forwarded. It was also decided to forward a resume of the whole correspondence to the Minister for Education.
