HOUSE BURNED AT TIKI.

[BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Coromandel, Tuesday. A fiee occurred at Tiki last night, resulting in the total destruction of a six-roomed house and contents, owned and occupied by Mrs. G. Lindsay. The outbreak occurred about eight p.m., Mrs. Lindsay and the elder members of hei family being away in Auckland, and only the two youngest girls were at home at the time. The dwelling was in an isolated situation. The fire spread vapidly, and by the time the neighbours appeared upon the scene the building was a mass of flames. It was impossible to save anything. Fortunately there was little wind at the time, and the flames did not spread to the outbuildings. Tlie building, furniture, and pianc were insured in the North Queensland Office for £350.
