M. DE PLEHVE'S ASSASSIN.

A sensational report was circulated in St. Petersburg to-day with respect to the man Sasmoff, who is charged with the assassination of M. cle Plehve. It is said that two men dressed -as gendarmes proceeded to the prison where Sasmoff lay, and demanded that he should be handed over to them, at the same time presenting what purported to be the written authority of the Minister for the Interior for the man to be released to undergo an examination in court. Snsmoff accordingly was handed over to the supposed gendarmes, and neither ho nor the gendarmes have been since seen.
