THAMES HARBOUR HOARD.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Tuesday. At the monthly meeting of the Thames Harbour Beard, held this evening, a letter was received from Mr. E. W. Alison, M.H.R., who acted as the Board's representative at the recent Harbour Boards' Conference, held in Wellington, giving a resume of the business transacted at the conference. It was resolved to for ward a letter ol thanks to Mr. Alison for the service he had rendered. The harbourmaster reported that he estimated tho cost of erecting a slip at Shortland for the convenience of the fishing-boats and small steamers at £131). It was resolved to refer the matter of proceeding with its erection to the General Purposes Committee, with power to call tenders for the work. The revenue collected by the harbourmaster during August was as follows: Wharfage, £02 lis lOd; port charges, £cQ 10s 9d: rent, £10; water, £12 10s: cab toll, £2; nilotage, £27 Is 4d: total, £161. 16s lid.
