In order to meet modern requirements in regard to ther teaching of SCIENCE, spacious and well-ventilated Buildings have been lately erected. These comprise a Physical laboratory, a Chemical Laboratory, a specially darkened room for use as an Optical Laboratory, and Galvanome'sßr Boom, and a room fitted with a furnace lirench for Assay Work. Each of the first two mentioned is fitted with "jonches to accommodate 20 boy,'j. and has i gas, water, etc., laid on. The buildings are well furnished with the necessary apparatus, and in the opinion of erparts are thoroughly inited for 4 the purpose for which they i were built. The work dona is irimilar in character to that of the ENGLISH ORGANISED SCIENCE SCHOOLS, and the Ml course occupies three rears. THE 'TEACHING- 18 ESSENTIALLY PRAC/ICAL. The Boys are taught chiefly BY THE MEANS OF EXPERIMENTS WORKED OUT BY THEMSELVES, and they thus acquire the faculty of making observations, and putting down the inferences they draw from ■ them. . * For the convenience of Day Boys, a 'Bus to .- -l and'; from the College meets the Trams at : :'•■,■ Newmarket.
