SATURDAY'S RUGBY FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS. A meeting of the Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby Union was held at the rooms of the Amateur Sports Club last evening, when arrangements were made for next Saturday's football matches as under: — FIRST FIFTEENS. No. 9 ground: Mount Rcskill v. Welles-ley-street; referee, Mr. Gatenby. THAMES RUGBY UNION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Wednesday. The Management Committee of the Thames Rugby Union met this evening and decided the number of rounds to settle the championships. The seniors will play three rounds, the first juniors four rounds, and the second juniors seven rounds. The committee decided not to grant trophies to the clubs this year. Mr. G. Black was appointed assistant secretary. ' The union purpose holding a concert to rase funds to send a team to Taranaki this season.
DUNEDIN RUGBY UNION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Wednesday. At a special meeting of the Rugby Union it was decided to appoint three instead of one selector of teams, and Messrs. G. Smith (secretary), A. Downes and H. Harris were elected.
