WAR MEDALS.
[by telegraph.—press association.] Wellington-, Wednesday. The Defence Department has received advice from Home that the medals and clasps for the New Zealanders who served in South Africa with the Eighth, Ninth, and Tenth Contingents will be available foi distribution within a few months, '"be Department still has in its possession a number of medals unclaimed by men who served with the first seven contingents. Applications for these medals should be made to the commandant's office.
