STATUE OF QUEEN VICTORIA.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Christchttrch, Monday. Thk principal ceremony in connection with Empire Day was the unveiling of the statue of Queen Victoria in Victoria Square. There was a very large attendance of the public, and the ceremony was performed by Mrs. Wigram, wife of the Mayor of Christchurch. Speeches were delivered by the Mayor, Sir J. Ward, and Mr. W. Reece.
