At a public meeting at Port Chalmers a resolution was carried affirming the desirability of constructing a larger graving dock, and expressing the opinion that the corporation of Port Chalmers should assist the Dock Trust and raise £75,000 by guaranteeing payment of £1000 per annum towards interest- of loan, provided the work is commenced within one year from date. TIMA.ru, Saturday. The Harbour Board has decided to increase the wharfage at Moody Wharf by 250 ft, at an estimated cost of about £6000, which money the Board have in hand.
