SENSATIONAL CHARGES AGAINST A
WEALTHY LADY. The District Court at Berlin, is engaged m the investigation of sensational charges against Frau von Goltz, a wealthy lady residing in Charlottenburg. a fashionable suburb of Berlin. She is accused, firstly, of Poisoning her first husband, Karl Friebe, jor the purpose of obtaining possession of lis fortune. Finding the law required her jo snare his fortune with her three sons, it is alleged, she proceeded to get rid 01 them. a W ° elder sons were ' lt is asserted, goaded to suicide by persistent persecution, "ne shot himself, and the other hanged himself Then, it is said, she committed a second ._urder by poisoning her youngest son five years ago. There remained the eldest son's child, who had the right to claim half the fortune. She almost succeeded in gaining possession of her grandson, when the boy accosted the Kaisei in l tte . street and begged his protection. The ordered investigations. Meanwhile "err Kuabe published the above accusals in he Kleines Journal, and had a Pamphlet distributed gratis in the streets. J-oe Berlin District Court proceeding* will wow whether the charges are well founded.
