THE GLENELG STRANDING.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION'. WAXfiANUi, Friday. The inquiry into the stranding of the s.s. Glenelg oiWhe bar on February 3 was concluded to-day. ' The evidence of the pilot was to the effect that the auxiliary schooner Toroa came down the river without a masthead light. As she stopped when a-quarter of a mile from the entrance, he signalled to the Glenelg to take the bar. The Glenelg did so, and the Toroa at the same time. Again the pilot signalled to her to stop, but she continued on, with the result that the Glenelg was.run .'.shore to avert a collision. The captain and crow of the Toroa, stated that the head light was carried, and that the pilot did not order her to stop. The captain of the Toroa was ordered to pay 10s costs.
