The Romncys reached £4 4s. bred by Messrs. Woodward Bros., and Merinos sold at the same figure. At Holensville, on Wednesday, there was an average muster of stock, all of which was disposed of at late rates. The dairy pens were well filled at Remuera on Thursday, good sorts selling from £7 to £9 15s; others. £5 to £6 10s; store cattle at late values. Fat and young calves, short of requirements, were required, small yelling from 8s to 12s. medium 143 to 18s. heavy tip to 63s (50 sold). There was scarcely an averago muster of fat cattle yarded, and prices wero firmer, best butchers' beef selling up to 28s. for steers: cows, 255; -steers ranged in price from £7 15s to £13 10s ; cows, £5" to £9 12s 6d. Fat sheep were penned in moderate numbers: ewes were at lower values, but wethers were firm, the latter selling up to 17s 9d; ewes, to 13s. Fat lambs wero more in demand than of late, well-fatted selling from lis to 15s; medium, 5s to 9s. Pigs, very scarce, kept up late values. NEW ZEALAND LOAN AND MERCANTH.B AGENCy COMPANY (LIMITED). Horses: On Friday at the Durham Yards a good many were brought forward and disposed of.. Heavy draughts sold from £29 10s to £34 15s; medium draughts, £19 10s to £28; light harness horses, £10 10s to £18 12s 6d; hacks, £5 10s to £20; a spring cart, £15; sulky. £8 10s. Cattle: At the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday dairy and store stock were penned in average numbers. Beef was in usual supply, and sold at advanced prices. Ox from 23s to 265, and cow 19s to 23s per 1001b. Fat steers sold from £7 10s to £12 ss; fat cows, £5 15s to £9 17s 6tl: dairy cows, £5 10s to £9; dry cows, £3 2s to £4 10s. Sheep: The Newmarket Yards wero well filled on Tuesday, but prices showed no improvement on last week's quotations. AVetbers sold from 10s 3d to 16s 9d; ewes, 7s 3d to 16s; lambs, 7s 5d to 14s 9d.

Pigs: Porkers, £1 los to £2 6s; weaners, 7s 6d to 15s".

At Pukekohe on Wednesday tliere was a large master, and everything, almost without exception, changed hands. Dairy cows sold from £5 10s to £8 158; empty cows, £3 10s to £5 15s; heifers. £3 10s to £4 12s; grown steers, £5 3s to £7 2s; two to three-year-old steers, £3 10s to £6 ss; calves, £1 10s to £2 Bs.

Hides: Bidding was brisk for all lines, prices being; on a par with last week. Sales were made as follows:— ox, 6Jd to 7gd; medium. 5Jd to 6d; light, 4Jd to sd; cow, best lines, 4£d to 4£d; kip, to 33d; calf, to 4Jd; stags', 2Jd; horse hides, 5s to 6s. Sheepskins: Advanced. Best salted pelts and lambs'. Is 8d to Is lOd; small and medium, Is 3d to Is 6d; dry, 8d to Is 3d. Tallow: Best rendered, £1 53 to £1 5s 9d; seconds, £1 3s to £1 4s; rough fat, 13d to 2d per lb. Hair: Best tail, to Is 3d.

Horns: Wanted at up to £1 5s for extra large. Bones, 4s 6d per cwt. Maize: Only a small quantity came forward during the week. There was some demand from Sydney, about 400 sacks being shipped by Monday's steamer. The price is ruling at about 4s Id per bushel f.o.b. for prime lines. Oats: Quotations from the South of the new season's grain have eased the market a further Id per bushel. ~. Potatoes: Good sorts are selling up to £4 per. ton. Plenty offering. Chaff: No alteration to report. There is not much doing in new season's : chaff, as it is scarcely fit yet for storing. . 1 Dairy Produce: Everything to hand is finding a ready sale at satisfactory prices. Cheese There is a better inquiry for factory, but farmers' makes are neglected. Prices continue firm.

Hides: Prime ox, 7£d to 7Jd; extra stout. 61d to to 63d; stout, 5Jd to 6d; medium, 4?d to 5Jd; light, 4Jd to 4£d; cow, best lines, 4jd to 4Jd; good, 4Jd to 41d; wet, 3Jd to 3Jd; kip, 3Jd to 4d; calf, well flayed, 4Jd; seconds, 2Jcl to 3d; stags', 21d to 3d; damaged hides, lid to 2£d per lb. Sheepskins: All sound pelted advanced; local green and salted, from Is 8d to Is 9d; lambs'. Is 6d to Is 9d; country, well woolled, from 2s 6d to ss; damaged pelts, Id to 4d each. Tallow: Mutton, £1 6s; be3t mixed, £1 4s 6d to £1 5s 6d; seconds, £1 to £1 Is 6d per cwt; fat. 13d per lb. Hair: Horsetail, Is 2irt to Is 23d; mane, Sd to lOd per lb; cow tails.
