A CARNEGIE GIFT.
DENOUNCED AS BLOOD MONEY. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— London, September 11. The Battersea Council accepted, after an acrimonious discussion, Mr. Andrew Carnegie's offer of £15,T00 for libraries. The extremists on the Council described the gift as " blood money," sweated from the poor.
