EARTHQUAKES AT CHEVIOT.
-« PEOPLE PREPARING TO LEAVE THE TOWN. [BT TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION-.] Christchcrch, Friday. Latest advices from Cheviot slate that earthquakes, accompanied by a loud booming noise, continue. Several re-erected chimneys have been wrecked. Considerable uneasiness is felt, and many people are preparing to leave the town.
