The annual meeting of (lie congregation of All Soils' Church, Clevedon, took place on April 16. The Rev. 0. K. Hewlett occupied the chair. Mr. C. W. Stephens (secretary. and treasurer) read, statement of receipts and expenditure for year ending March 31, 1902: -By balance April 1, 1901, £9 16s bid; donations to minister's stipend, £21 10s;. ! genera! offertory £23 13s lOd; Melanesian j fond (including 7s 10d from local mission box), £1 8s 7d ; country clergy fund, £1 0s 3d: I native pastorate, £1 12s 2d; home mission | fund, £2 2s sd: total. £61 3s 9£d._ Expenditure: To minister's stipend, £35; pen- | sion fund, £1 9s; communion wine, 3s 6d;. insurance on church and furniture, £2 Is Bdj Melanesian fund, £2 5s 7(1; cleaning church,' 6«; home mussion fund, £2 2,s sd; native pastorate, £1 12s 2d All fouls' contribution to insurance rates and Synod expenses, £1 6s 10£ d; kerosene, 7s; painting church, £♦ 10s': ■ total, £53 16s Sid. Credit balance carried forward, £7 7s Id. The following officers were then elected:—Mr. C. W. Stephens, minister's warden, also secretary and treasure., and auditor of the church building fund; Mr. Geo. Atkins, parish warden; Messrs. Goo. Forbes, W. Hyde, and Richards, vestrymen. A cordial vote of thanks was unanimously accorded to th*. chairman, the outgoing vestry, lay readers. Miss Brown (organist), and Sunday sol teachers, also to Miss Thorpe, for assiduous attention to their various duties in eoti'tection with the church. The Rev. 0. R. Hewlett said that the trustees were going to t:is- ■ i continue the allowance for the native pastorate at the end of the year 1902, and therefore an appeal was to lie made to the various . parishes to assist in carrying out : the work.. The motion of Mr. Geo. Forbes, to open subscription lists for the purpose, was favourably received by the meeting, the proposer offering to head the list with 10c. The meeting then termiaated.
