MARCONI'S GREAT FEAT.
' New York, December 15. A CABLE.:to the New York Sun from St. John's, N.F., says:; The one topic here • to-day is Signor Marconi's feat in opening communication by wireless telegraphy with his station on the coast of Cornwall, England. The- inventor is being followed by crowds of sightseers and crowds are gathered about -Bis hotel... Enthusiasts propose a public dinner in his honour. He is being overwhelmed by congratulations. He-had lunch to-day with the Catholic Bishop, and dined with Governor Boyle to-night. The latter has been asked by the British Government to forward fuller details of the test. Marconi displays serene confidence in his achievement.. ■ He is fully satisfied that it is only a question of a short time when two stations, here and in Cornwall, will, be conducting a' regular daily transmission of business messages. . >' . 1
