THE STATE OF IRELAND.

A JUDGE'S WARNING. By Telegraph..—Press Association.—Copyright. London - , October 31. Judge O'Connor has described the statement that Catholics, as Catholics, are excluded from juries in Ireland as false and wicked. The grounds for the exclusion of jurors in the cases referred to were absolutely different. He warned Ministers of the Crown of the serious condition of affairs in County Sligo owing to boycotting. The Dublin Corporation, by 49 to 9, voted the freedom of the city to Mr. McHugh, member for North Leitrim, who was recently released from prison after serving a sentence for criminal libel. A scene followed, the Unionist members of the corporation declaring that the freedom of the city was not intended to be conferred on law-breakers.
