EXTENSIVE FRAUDS.
»_ CHARGES AGAINST RUSSIAN OFFICIALS. By Telegraph.—Press Association.— St Petersburg, October 29. The trial is proceeding of a number of Government officials at Nijni Novgorod, on charges of embezzling half a million sterling. The money was received in instalments for the construction of engineering works on the River Volga, which were supposed to be completed, whereas they are not yet begun.
