AUCKLAND WEEKLY NEWS.

«. _— SEVENTY ILLUSTRATIONS. THE WAIKATO SHOW. OPENING OF BOWLING AND ROWING SEASONS. PRIZE COMPETITION PICTURES. THE SIXTH CONTINGENT IN SOUTH AFRICA. , THE THAMES SEA MONSTER. There are no less than 70 most interesting pictures in the current issue of the Auckland Weekly News, the subjects, as usual, being of a most diversified nature. A large and valuable collection of views are given of the recent successful show at Hamilton, Waikato. The approach of summer is heralded in the splendid pictures given of the opening functions at the various bowling and rowing clubs. Among the miscellaneous views there is a good picture of the curious sea monster recently caught at the Thames, which appears to be something of a cross between a shark and a seal. Another interesting view is that of the tiny Canadian canoe Tilikum, lying at anchor in Apia Harbour, Samoa, in course of her voyage round the world. A large number of excellent groups and portraits, prize competition photographs and other interesting pictures complete a most attractive series of illustrations. The News is now on sale, and may be obtained of all runners and newsagents.
