CARTERTON SHOW.

[by TELEGRAPH. —PRESS association.] Wellington, Wednesday. The Carterton show was opened to-day. The Boniney Marsh championship for rams was won by Mr. W. B. Allen, of Claroville, and for ewes by Mr. Isaac Sykes, of Masterton. In .Shropshire* -Sir. F. Monckton, of Featherston, took the place of honour as regards rams, and Mr. Henry Willis, also of Featherston, is owner of the champion ewe. Messrs. Anketoll Brothers, of Masterton, got the championship medal for Hampshire Down ram, and Mr. L. H. Rayner, of Tarjvtahi, that for the champion ewe. In Southdowns, Mr. S. F. Lancaster, of Manawatu, practically scooped the pool, securing six first prizes and tho medal for the champion ewe, while Mr. Wm. Booth, of Carterton, won the gold medal for rams. Messrs. Perry Brothers score a record in Lincolns, taking every first prize and two championships. Messrs. Rayner Brothers secured three seconds. Messrs. Perry Brothers scored with English Leiccsters, taking the championships in the class. Archdeacon Williams secured the championships for shorthorns.
