Club's athletic carnival takes place at the Domain on Saturday next. An excellent day's sport is promised judging by the entries for the various events. Amongst other | attractive features on the programme will be George Smith's attempt to lowei the 120 yds hurdle record of 15 3-ss. established by himself. Mad ill, the Australasian champion, will compote in the hammei-throwing event. The quarter-mile hurdles should be interesting, as there will be a large field, with George Smith competing. Several bicycle races are down for decision, and cyclists will receive the benefit of the Victor Ludorum system of prizes for most points. The entries for the schoolboys' race total 20, both primary and secondary sohools being entered. Hunter's band will be in attendance. Given fine weather the fixture should prove a meat success.
