INANIMATE PIGEON SHOOTING.
On Wednesday afternoon, at the grounds of New Zealand Inanimate Pigeon-shooting Association, Epsom, the Eden Gun Club shot off their challenge against the \vaikato Gun Club for the inter-club cap, the lattu- club having fired on their grounds at Frankton on the 2nd rust., when they made a total score of 148 points. In this contest the rule; provide that each club competing shall have a team of six, and that each shooter fire at 30 "u'rds, the possible points obtainable therefore being 180. Advantage was take; of the holiday yesterday for the Eden dun to shoot, avid they certainly wyre favoured with excellent woather. The score made by the Waikato team was admittedly a croo.l one. and it was thought that their opponent.-" would have their work cut out to beat r. However, the result, as shown below, proves that they were equal to the occasion, by making th« splendid total of 160 points, tin'defeating the, Waikato Club by 12 points The following is the score: — Mr. 13.
