THE KANAKA BILL.

Brisbane, October 8. The Kanaka Bill has raised a storm of indignation in Queensland. The Premier has addressed a strongly worded letter to Mr. Barton, in which he says that notwithstanding the indications of the probable policy of the Commonwealth Government on the subject Queensland was not prepared for legislation so summary and drastic as that contemplated. He considers it most extraordinary that legislation superseding all Queensland Acts, passed after careful consideration by successive Governments, should be drafted without consulting the Government of the State most concerned,
