The Mayor of Onehunga (Dr. Erson) con. venes this evening at the Public Hall, a meetiag of the residents of Onehnnga and district, to consider the advisability of erecting a memorial to preserve the memory of our late good Queer Victoria. As the Northern Steamship Company's offices will be closed on Saturday, 16th, cargo for steamers advertised to sail on that day will be received not later than kalf-past four p.m. on Friday. , By advertisement in another column it will be seen that entries for the sports at the Manchester Unity Oddfellows* picnic clow tomorrow night, at McLeod Bros.* shop, Upper Queen-street. Another steamer (fee Kotiti) " has been engaged to run an excursion from lM the Puhoi. All arrangements t for this i'-f----popular outing of the premier picnic are :H now completed, and it will only require fin© weather to ensure success. ;
