THE N.Z. INANIMATE PIGEON SHOOTING ASSOCIATION.
At a meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Inanimate Pigeon-shooting Association, held last evening (Dr. H. Owen in the chair)' it was decided that the match for the " Amberite" cup and Messrs. Campbell and Ehrenfried's trophy, which had been unavoidably postponed, should take place on Saturday week, the 23rd inst. On the morning of the samp day the Northern Gun Club will compete with the Waikato Gun Club for the intorclub cup. As some of the country clubs have signified their intention of sending teams down, it is anticipated that there will be a large attendance of shooters, and their friends. Other matters relating to shooting wore dealt with, and the usual vote of thanks to the chairman brought the meeting to a close. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Hamilton, Wednesday. The Waikato Gun Club shot off a challenge from the.Northern Gun Club for the association's inter-dub cup this afternoon, and made the good score of 125. S. Harker was top scorer with 27 out of a possible 30. The following were the scores:—S. Harker, 27; R. J. Gwynne, 24; H. Rowland, 22 W. Holtbv, 19; G. Parr, 13; T. F. Jolly, 15: total, 125. In the previous competition, when the Waikato Club won the cup, they made 116.
