RAKAIA RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
DAMAGES AWARDED. [by telegraph.— association.] Ciiristciichcii. Monday. The Supreme Court was occupied to-day with a case in which William John Pearce and his wife, Virginia Mary Pearce, claimed from the Crown £2000 and £1500 damages, for injuries sustained by Mrs. Pearce in the Rakaia accident. The jury awarded Mrs. Pearce £1500 and her husband £1000.
