THE WOOL SALES.
The first wool sale of the season takes place to-day at the Wool Exchange, Albert-street. Owing to the very bad weather that has prevailed of late, the quantity of wool sent forward for sale is smaller than usual, the total number of bales to be offered to-day hems 3102, as against 4660 which were submitted at the first sale last year. Messrs. G. W. Binder and Sons open the sale at nine a.m. with 168 lots, representing 647 bales; then come the Loan and Mercantile Agency Company with 275 lots, repiesenting 785 bales; Messrs. Alfred Buekland and Sons, 302 lots, representing 958 bales; and Messrs. Hunter and Nolan, with 251 lots, representing 712 bales. _____ -
