POLICE HOT NEWS. Mr. H. W. Brabant, S.M., presided at the Police Court 011 Saturday. Matilda Wethcridgo and William Thornton were each fined 5s or 24 hours for drunkenness. William Henry Whiteside was fined 10s and costs, 7s, for being found 011 licensed premises during the currency of a prohibition order against him. Christina Larsen was sentenced to onemonth's hard labour 011 a charge of vagrancy. A case against John Endean of an alleged breach of the Licensing Act was adjourned to December 2 next.
