THE MANUKAU ELECTORATE, AND THE SELECTION OF A CANDIDATE
TO THE EDITOR. „ »» 011 lose your 0386 abuse tho Court, is evidently Mr. Taylor's motto. I really do not care to follow him further in tins mailer, as I consider my previous letter a sufficiently explicit and straightforward reply to his earlier lament. There is really nothing to bo gained by retailing what this or tho other individual may or may not have let fall (luring private conversation, and I desiro to refrain from such small tittle* tattle. A3 I had not. the pleasure of peeing Mr. Buckland for six weeks prior to my announcement, such an incident as tho handshaking and congratulations is a transparent fabrication. The Electoral Committee is tho body responsible for tho meeting ill question, and a largo portion of those present were up to that time quito unknown to me.—l am, eic ; , Francis Ecu. Epsom, November 25, 1899.
