THE ILLUSTRATIONS. This week's number of the Auckland Weekly News contains an attractive series of illustrations on topics of general interest. The subject taken this week include the following:—S.s. Waikato, now adrift in the Southern Ocean, with a broken shaft; proposed new clubhouse for the Auckland Yacht Club; the s.s. Takapuna aground on the bank near the Onehunga Wharf; Auckland Rifles Volunteer Company; the ships now building and proposed for the British navy; Captain Dreyfus, the martyr of the century; City A football team, winners of' the second junior cup; photographic shield, presented to Brother E. D. Halstead, of Lodge Eden, 1530, E.C.; and some choice views of New Zealand scenery. This week's number, in addition to the usual feature, contains an article specally written for the News, on " Gorse-growing for Sheep in the Auckland Province," The News is now on sal£. and may obtained of all runners and newsagents.
