Athens, March 14. Reports from Canea state that sharp fighting has taken place on tho heights above the town. The Turkish Governor has sent a request to the Porte to send arms for the refugees. The Italian commander has demanded the arrest of the leaders of the recent mutiny of gendarmes, one of whom is attached to the British consulate.

The Greek Government have ordered two warships to remain in Cretan waters.
