FITZGERALD BROS CIRCUS.
OPENING PERFORMANCE. To day Fitzgerald Brothers opeu their New Zealand season in Auckland. The tent, the largest ever erected in Australasia, has been placed in position near the Railway Wharf, and its immense size yesterday attracted great attention, The unusual dimensions are for the purpose of giving every scope to the divers, who dive from wonderful heights. Mr. Dan Fitzgerald and the company of European artistes who have been engaged, yvith the talking horse Mahomet, arrived by the Alameda yesterday, Thus there will be combined, for the first time, the company which has been playing to immense houses in Australia, and the circus and menagerie which has been located in Auckland for the winter. The combined show will be one of the finest ever seen south of the line. The Auckland season will last one week only. To-day, at noon, if arrangements can be made, I'rofesror : Peart will dive from the masthead of the Alameda,
