The annual demonstration, held in connection with the Auckland Friendly Societies Conference, took place on Sunday, the 17th of November and was eminently successful. The various societies assembled at the Ponspnby Reservoir, in regalia, at two o'clock, and marched thence to the foot) of Victoria-street via Karangah'apo Road and Upper Queenstreet. , The order of marching was as follows: — Independent order of Recha bites, 1.0.0, F. (American constitution), Ancienb. Order of Foresters, Protestant Alliance, H. A. C. B. ' Society, Ancient Order of " Druid.?, 1.0.0. F. (Manchester, Unity), National 1.0.0. F. The following bands were placed at intervals Impey's, Garrison, .Newmarket, Newton, and Union. Mr. H. T. Garratt, District Secretary of the A.0.F., acted as marshal. The City Hall was quite full, and close upon two thousand persons vers present/. '
