The Hon. W. McCullough, M.L.C., left for Wellington yesterday by the Mahinapua. Ib is currently reported in Anglican circles that Dean Cowper has tendered his resignation as Dean of Sydney, and that Archdeacon Langley is likely to be his suc-
cessor.j The Heretaunga Mounted Rifle!) have presented a pair of binoculars and an illuminated address to Mr. J. Pringle, who recently resigned the position of Lieutenant. Mr. Pringle was one of the founders of the corps, and was very popular with the members.
The Rev. W. H. Judkins has again, found it necessary to apply for a long |pve of absence from his duties. He has never properly recovered from his previous illness, and now finds the strain of preaching more than be can bear. He will return to Australia, and abstain from any labour involving close mental application for a year or more, if necessary. In the meantime his ministerial duties at Feilding will be undertaken by Mr. Williams, the ton of the Rev. J. Williams.
Mr. K. A. Campbell, who has been for some years in charge of the money order and savings bank department of the Wanganui Post Office, is about to be transferred to Christcburch, where he becomes chief officer of the money order department. Mr. J. Woon, chief of the mail room, Wanganui, comes on to Auckland to take charge of the same department. Messrs. Campbell and Wood are to be succeeded in Wanganui by Messrs. Millar, from New Plymouth, and Burton, from Christchurch, respectively.
