Several changes are about to take place in the Lunacy Department, Dr. Burns, now in charge of the Porirua Asylum, resigns for the purpose of entering on private practide, probably in Australia, Dr. Hassell, of tho Auckland Asylum, owing to the health of his wife, comes to Wellington. He will have charge of the Mount View aud Porirua Asylums. Dr. Fookes, now in charge of the Mount View Asylum, succeeds Dr. Hassell at Auokland, Dr. Craig, of the Seacliffe Asylum, Dunedln, will probably come to Wellington as assistant medical superintendent at Porltna.
